Both round and square bales up to a length of 2.5 m can be steamed. Up to 4 steam lances are available for this purpose, which can be used simultaneously. The stainless steel hay pad can also be adjusted flexibly.

Ideally, the hay should be used immediately — its steamed quality remains stable for 24 hours. With proper storage, however, it can still be safely fed 3 to 5 days after steaming. If this period is exceeded, simply steam it again during the next steaming cycle — don’t throw it away!

Expert tip for daily stable management: Steam in the morning → Feed in portions in the morning and evening

The DINO HAY STEAMER has an integrated water softening system. This means you can connect the appliance to your drinking water supply without any problems. We do not recommend using well water or similar.

The DINO HAY STEAMER only requires a fresh water supply (connection to your mains water supply) and a high-voltage power connection with a connected load of 19 kW. This corresponds to a CEE 32A plug.

Yes, that is possible. We would be happy to design the system for a lower connected load. However, under these circumstances, the simultaneous use of 4 steam lances can no longer be guaranteed, or the steaming time will increase.

Yes, the system has an integrated freeze protection. This ensures that the system is not damaged by frost.

Steamed hay can be fed immediately after the steaming process is complete. It is still very warm at first, but cools down quickly. Many horses actually enjoy it, especially in the winter months when the hay is still slightly warm.
