Technical data

The HAY STEAMER is available only in the 18 kW output class with a 32 A CEE connection. If you have a lower connected load available, please do get in touch — we can also supply the unit in a throttled version. Please note that a lower output class may extend the steaming time required.

Our Hay Steamer in operation

This is how simple a steaming run is

Switch on the unit and let the steam generator heat up, load the bale, set the steaming time on the timer, start — done. Our 3D animation shows the whole process step by step and just how straightforward everyday operation is.

Thought through down to the last detail

Proven steam and heating technology in a robust, insulated container. Tap a function on the unit and the matching detail zooms in alongside it.

Controls & technology

Simple operation

You use the built-in timer to set the steaming time — after that the steam generator switches off automatically.

Detail view: High durability

High durability

The integrated water softening prevents limescale deposits in the generator, pipework and steam lances — even with hard tap water.

Detail view: Insulated cladding hood

Insulated cladding hood

The steam generator and softening system sit under an insulated stainless steel hood — protected from cold and weather, for year-round operation.

The striking face on the lance head makes it easier to push them into densely pressed bales. A soft-faced mallet is included.

Frequently asked questions about the DINO HAY STEAMER

Which type of forage is the steaming suitable for?

With the DINO HAY STEAMER you can effectively steam both hay and straw.

Which types of hay and straw bales can be steamed with the DINO HAY STEAMER?

Both round bales and square bales up to a length of 2.5m can be steamed. Up to 4 steam lances are available for this and can be used at the same time. The stainless steel hay support can also be adjusted flexibly.

Which water quality should be used?

The DINO HAY STEAMER has an integrated water softening system. You can therefore connect the system to your drinking water line without any problem. We advise against using well water or similar.

What do I need in order to use the DINO HAY STEAMER on my farm?

The DINO HAY STEAMER only requires a fresh water supply line (connection to your mains water network) and a three-phase power connection with a connected load of 19 kW. This corresponds to a CEE 32A connector plug.

Can I also connect the DINO HAY STEAMER via a CEE 16A connector plug?

Yes, that is possible. We are happy to design the system for a lower connected load as well. Under these circumstances, however, the use of 4 steam lances at the same time can no longer be guaranteed, or the steaming time increases.

Can the DINO HAY STEAMER also stand outdoors during the winter months?

Yes, the system has an integrated frost monitor. This ensures that no frost damage occurs to the system.
