The NDD series stands for compact, portable steam generators with a small footprint and a high degree of flexibility in installation. Thanks to their simple operation and the option of decentralised installation, the series is the ideal solution for a fast steam supply that matches actual demand. All units in this series are supplied with a 3 m electrical connection cable including a CEE plug.

Frequently asked questions about this series

Can the NDD series also be fed with demineralised water?

Yes, this is possible in principle. The system then requires the Standard equipment version, as demineralised water attacks the brass parts and cannot be controlled via a conductive level measurement, since this requires a feedwater conductivity of at least 20 µS/cm.

What is the minimum inlet pressure required for the feedwater line?

The inlet pressure must be greater than 3.0 bar(g), as the systems in this series are not equipped with a feedwater pump and the line inlet pressure must always be slightly above the working pressure in the boiler so that the water can be forced into the boiler. A feedwater pump can be retrofitted on request.

Does the system have an automatic blowdown function?

Not as standard equipment. An automatic blowdown can be fitted as an optional extra.

Which pressure ratings can be run?

The pressure rating can be freely selected within the range from 1.0 to 3.0 bar(g).

Can the heating output be reduced, e.g. where the available connected load is limited?

Yes, by switching off individual heating elements. For example, an NDD18-3 (18 kW) becomes an NDD4,5-3 (4.5 kW) when 3 of the 4 heating elements are switched off in the control cabinet.

What should be observed when connecting the safety valve line?

The safety valve line should always be routed to the open air without pressure. Make sure that the outlet is positioned so that nobody is put at risk if the safety valve releases unexpectedly.
