With our stainless steel steam superheaters you can heat the steam you have already generated further, without increasing the working pressure. This makes steam temperatures above 184 °C achievable, even at pressures below 10bar(g).

Water Treatment
Combined systems
Combined systems bring together softening and reverse osmosis in one compact unit. The raw water is first softened and then treated further via a membrane. This produces low-salt feedwater with reduced conductivity, which protects the steam generator against limescale, deposits and increased salt loading. Combined systems are particularly suitable where a high water quality is required together with a small footprint – for example in compact steam plants, mobile container solutions or restricted plant rooms.

Reverse osmosis system
Reverse osmosis systems reduce the salts and minerals dissolved in the water and thereby lower the conductivity of the feedwater. The water is forced through a semi-permeable membrane under pressure. Water molecules can pass through the membrane, while many dissolved substances are retained and discharged. For steam generators, a reverse osmosis system is particularly useful where a higher feedwater quality is required, where a large number of operating hours is reached, or where blowdown and desalination losses are to be reduced. A reverse osmosis system is also required for the generation of clean steam. Reverse osmosis is usually combined with an upstream softening system in order to protect the membrane. We offer reverse osmosis systems as a separate unit or in combination with a softening system – sized to suit the raw water quality, the water demand and the operating mode of the steam plant.

Single-column softening system
Compact single-column softening systems (KKC series) for water softening of smaller water volumes in single- or two-shift operation. During regeneration (approx. 1.5 h) no softened water is available for a short time — ideal where operating breaks can be planned. Brine tank integrated.

Twin-column softening system
Twin-column softening systems (DKC1 series) with two modules for continuous water softening: while one module regenerates, the other takes over — so softened water is available to your steam generator at all times.

Blowdown Vessel
Blowdown vessel
The blowdown vessel cools hot blowdown and condensate water down to a permissible discharge temperature by admixing cold water. This protects pipework and the sewer system and keeps to the usually permissible discharge temperature of no more than 35 °C.
